Class Descriptions

Ballet Babies (age 2): In this class we focus on basic ballet moves, making it fun to learn by throwing in creative movement and props! Generally it is a class where we like to work independently with the children and succeed in getting the children to dance without their parent in the room. The instructor is very flexible with the babies, so if the child needs the parent in the room, it is certainly allowed as we are working to get the kids independent. This class really is all about fun, growth and development. The ballet babies do participate in the performance at the end of the session, only if you would like. Most times everyone does the show, but it is not a requirement for the babies. Though they do, in fact, steal the show!

Intro to Dance (age 3-4): This is a ballet & tap combination class, focusing on basic ballet & tap moves for pre-school age dancers!

Ballet Ia (age 4-5): This class is for beginner 4 & 5 year old dancers or for dancers who want to take Tap I and Ballet I with the ½ hour ballet class & ½ hour tap class equaling a perfect 1 hour dance lesson!

Ballet Ib (age 4-5): This class is for beginner age 4 & 5 dancers or dancers coming out of Intro to Dance, who want to focus on ballet and learn more moves in the extra 15 minutes of class. (Tap class can be added for 1 ¼ hours of total dance time)

Tap I (age 4-5): This class is for the beginner tap student age 4-5. This class is a level up from the Tap learned in Intro to Dance.

Ballet IIb (ages 6-8): Classical ballet, a mix of Russian and Cecchetti methods, gives young dancers poise and confidence, and focuses more on basic technique. Ballet IIb is for dancers who are advancing out of Ballet IIa and desire more of a challenge. This class is a level up from Ballet IIa (one hour long), adding advancing barre exercises & developing enchainment.
